Ensure that Public IP addresses are Evaluated on a Periodic Basis
Why This Matters
Unmanaged public IP addresses create direct exposure points for attackers to reach your Azure resources from the internet. Each public IP address that is not intentionally assigned and actively governed increases your attack surface and potential for unauthorized access. Without periodic evaluation, orphaned or forgotten public IPs can remain active and connected to resources with inadequate security controls.
What Aether365 Checks
Aether365 evaluates whether public IP addresses in your Azure tenant are reviewed periodically to confirm they remain necessary and properly secured. This check appears in your Aether365 dashboard under the azure-public-ip-addresses checks section.
