PUA Protection should be enabled
Why This Matters
Potentially Unwanted Applications (PUAs) are software that may not be malicious by design but can degrade system performance, display intrusive ads, or compromise security. Enabling PUA protection in Microsoft Defender Antivirus blocks these applications at the point of download or installation, reducing the risk of unwanted software affecting your organization's devices. Without this protection, users may inadvertently install adware, browser toolbars, or other low-reputation software that increases the attack surface.
What Aether365 Checks
Aether365 verifies that the PUA Protection setting in Microsoft Defender Antivirus is enabled across devices managed by Intune. This check appears in your Aether365 dashboard under the Defender category and alerts you if the setting is not configured to block potentially unwanted applications.
