Ensure anonymous users and dial-in callers can't start a meeting

Why This Matters

Allowing anonymous users or dial-in callers to start a Teams meeting creates a significant security vulnerability. Without this control, anyone with a meeting link can begin the meeting before organizers or authenticated attendees arrive, enabling meeting spamming, unauthorized access, or disruption. Restricting this capability ensures that only trusted participants can initiate sessions, reducing the risk of unwanted intrusions.

What Aether365 Checks

Aether365 verifies that the Microsoft Teams meeting policy setting Anonymous users and dial-in callers can start a meeting is set to Off for the Global (Org-wide default) policy. This check appears in your Aether365 dashboard under the Microsoft 365 security checks section.
