Ensure communication with Skype users is disabled
Why This Matters
Disabling communication with Skype users reduces your organization's attack surface, especially given that Skype for Business was deprecated in July 2021. Allowing external Skype connections introduces unnecessary risk from unmanaged external users who may not follow modern security protocols. If a partner organization still relies on Skype for collaboration, you should evaluate granting a time-limited exception rather than leaving the setting enabled for all users.
